Swedish jazz pianist, composer, music producer and senior lecturer at Malmö Academy of Music, born March 22, 1966 in Olofström. Artistic director for Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival and also for Jazzhus Montmartre in Copenhagen. He grew up in Ronneby and moved to Malmö in 1986 to study at Malmö Academy of Music, where he graduated in 1991 and later became a senior lecturer. He has lived in Ystad since 2005. His trio, Jan Lundgren Trio with Mattias Svensson and now Zoltan Csörsz, broke through in 1997 with the album Swedish Standards, which also won the Orchestra Journal's award Gyllene skivan 1997. In 2007, he was named the first and only Nordic jazz pianist to Steinway & Son's exclusive group "Steinway Artist". In 2010 he started together with Thomas Lantz Ystad Sweden Jazz Festival, for which he is Artistic Director.
