Born on December 28, 1978 in Helsinki, Finland. Janita is a Finnish born, American singer-songwriter based in NYC. She released her first album at the age of 14. When she was 17 she moved to New York to start a career in America. She participated in the Finnish national selection for the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Martian". In 2021, Janita released her long awaited album "Here Be Dragons" which features the single "I Do" and her version of Peter Gabriel's song "Digging In The Dirt."
