Started his early career simply as 'Twitch' while running the long-standing techno/leftfield night Pure in Edinburgh in 1990, adopting the 'JD' prefix in the late '90s with the now famous Optimo nights in Glasgow. As well as DJing at Pure, he was half of T&B Vinyl and ran his own label T&B Vinyl.
He also runs: T&B Vinyl, including its multiple offshoot labels: T&B Vinyl which then mutated into T&B Vinyl and Cease & Desist (2) and is part owner/manager of T&B Vinyl, T&B Vinyl and from 2017-2019 managed T&B Vinyl.
