† October 6th, 2014, in Mexico City. Mexican musician, composer and music journalist, pioneer of synthesizers and electronic ensembles in Mexico. Son of Chucho Martinez Gil, whose real name was also Jesús Bojalil Gil.

Considered one of the most innovative, unconventional, ironic and fun musicians of the electronic and progressive rock scene in Mexico. He challenged the standards of how to make and perform songs at a time in which only rock & roll was considered alternative music. He always remained outside the massive music industry, despite this he had prolific musical production throughout the years.

His music had a strong presence of techno, progressive rock, psychedelia, kraut rock, noise and electronic, with influences from Amon Düül, Faust, Gong, Klaus Schulze and Tangerine Dream.

He started performing with ‘Como México No Hay Dos’ (1974) to then found a band called ‘Los Pijamas A Go-Go’ (1980) along with Guillermo "Tin Larín" Santamarina and Apodaca. It was followed by El Escuadrón Del Ritmo (1982) with Alex Eisenring and ‘Groovy People And The Love Freaks’ (1989) with Dr. Fanatik, a neo-hippie-spaced out prog rock kind of thing. In his last project, Capitan Pijama & The Fluorescent Detectives (2012), he staged a psychedelic blend of techno and kraut rock.

As a journalist he wrote for 'La Mosca en la Pared' and 'Interview' magazines, in which his texts told hilarious stories and helped as introducers of electronic music and progressive rock to the national scene.
