Jim Boatman is a gospel singer. He sang bass with the Melody Boys Quartet from 1957-1958. He then became a member of The Prophets Quartet from 1960-1962, leaving to join The Sunshine Boys Quartet and remained with the group until they retired in 1968. In the late 1960s, he returned for a brief stint with The Prophets Quartet. He also sang with Rosie Rozell And [a4688413] in the early 1970s.
