Canadian saxophonist (soprano, tenor, baritone), clarinetist and bandleader, born 28 July 1936 in Kilwinning, Ayrshire, Scotland.
In Glasgow he worked with Alex Dulgleish and led the Jazzmakers; emigrated to Canada in 1964. Led the Metro Stompers 1968, formed swing group Jim Galloway's Wee Big Band in 1978, host of weekly radio show "Toronto Alive!" from 1981. He died on December 30, 2014 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
