Jocelyn Gould

Jocelyn Gould is a Canadian jazz guitarist, composer, and educator based in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She holds a Bachelor of Jazz Studies from the University of Manitoba and completed a Master of Music in Jazz Studies at Michigan State University in 2019. From 2019 to 2024, Gould served as a professor and Head of the Guitar Department at Humber College in Toronto. Citing Wes Montgomery, Grant Green, Joe Pass, and Kenny Burrell as primary influences, she has led international tours across North America, Europe, and Asia. She has recorded and performed alongside artists such as Freddy Cole, Michael Dease, Caity Gyorgy, Geoffrey Keezer, Bria Skonberg, Jon Gordon, and Etienne Charles. In 2021, her debut album, Elegant Traveler, won the JUNO Award for Jazz Album of the Year: Solo. Her subsequent releases, Sonic Bouquet and Portrait Of Right Now, received JUNO nominations in the same category in 2024 and 2025. Gould is an endorsed artist for Benedetto Guitars.
