Born: May 19, 1918 - Died: April 9, 1997. Around 1955/1956, Johnny Hicks was a co-producer of KRLD's Big "D" Jamboree along with Johnny Harper. He was also a singer, doing recordings for Columbia. A songwriter, composing such hits as "Honey Bun" and "Nuevo Laredo"
