Jonny Hefty

Alias for Danish rapper from Aalborg, Jakob Ørom (b. October 18th, 1969). Started off as drum player for the black metal band [a=Geronimo (14)].
Later got involved in the hiphop scene, first with the group 'Mortmain' (ca. 1996), then MørkeMændene in 1998, releasing the single 'Jorden er giftig' where Jonny Hefty first appeared as a character/alias..
In year 2000 he won a Danmarks Radio (DR) demo competition, TRAX, on Danmarks Radio, leading to the debut release 'Hængerøv & Håndtegn'.
Hefty was involved in the DR P3 radio sketch programme 'Rockstarz' and has worked with other Danish rappers such as Niarn and for a loger time span with Jøden.
Jakob Ørom is the cousin of rap producer Jon Ørom.
