Jossette was born in February 3, 1979 in Caloocan, Manila of Filipino and Hispanic descent. In the summer of 1996, Galaxy Freestyle Records got a hold of her vocal talents from a videotape they had. The label later called her in for an audition and on that same day she began working on the hit song, "In A Dream." Much to Jossette’s surprise, the song was a great success. Her debut hit has lead to performances of all around the Philippines. Radio and music lovers supported the dance hit, which eventually landed Jossette her own spot as a host for her own show on the Rj’s hit station, KYLD (then Wild 107.7 and now Wild 94.9). Jossette went on with her musical career and later followed up her first hit with the tracks "Where Are You Now," "No More Lies", "Feels Good" and "So Excited."
