English actor, comedian, novelist and presenter, born 25 May 1959. He started his career on the London comedy circuit as Gillian Pie-Face. Seeking success, he dropped the drag, dressed himself in PVC and rubber and reinvented himself as The Joan Collins' Fan Club. Soon he was starring in his own shows on Channel 4, alongside his companion Fanny The Wonderdog - the beginnings of a lengthy showbiz career...
Musically, aside from his comedy recordings, Julian had also appeared under the pseudonym Leo Hurll as the keyboardist in Rupert Hine's Thinkman project.
