Kestrel

About

UK progressive five-piece band from Newcastle with Tom Knowles on vocals, Dave Black on guitar, Fenwick Moir on bass, Dave Whitaker on drums and John Cook on keyboards. Started in the early 1970s as a symphonic rock group, then veered towards a melodic progressive in the vein of Camel, Caravan and Genesis. After Cube Records released their lone album in 1975, it didn't promote it and it never became a success. The band quietly slipped into oblivion.
