About

German thrash metal band from Essen. The band was formed in 1982 as Tormentor, the name changed to Kreator in 1984 after the departure of singer Manfred Rehberg. Through its career of over 40 years, Kreator has released fifteen studio albums and the band has been credited for developing and popularizing the German thrash metal scene.
