    Kringkastingsorkestret (often called KORK, known internationally as The Norwegian Radio Orchestra or Norwegian Broadcasting Orchestra) is the Norwegian Broadcasting's ([L=NRK]) symphony orchestra. It's managing director is [A=Martin Revheim]. It originally had its basis in Øivind Berghs Bristolorkester which was transformed into Kringkastingsorkestret when Bergh got employed at NRK in 1946. Øivind Bergh led and conducted the orchestra from its inception in 1946, stepping down in 1976, having led the orchestra in over 5000 concerts during his 30 year long career as its principal conductor (and remains the longest serving conductor of the orchestra, by some margin).
