    La Muerte

PRECURSORS AND INVENTORS. HATED, DESPISED BUT SOMETIMES, PRAISED. Alternative loud rock band founded in Brussels in 1983. They gained a cult status, becoming more popular abroad than in Belgium. The band was officially dissolved in 1994, even though sporadic releases still followed. They reunited in 2015, with a brand new line up, releasing a couples of new recordings, playing shows and all majors festivals. 2025 will be their last active year. “Conjuring extreme, horrifying images of death, addiction, the road and urban violence glued to putrid rock‘n’roll and manic-depressive blues-rock, La Muerte released a string of cult-albums and EP’s throughout the 80s and early 90s, which heavily resonated with those abandoned by love or devoid of hope. Even the devil’s rejects found refuge in LaMuerte‘s growling, howling, stop/start frenzy, and feedback shivers of guitar burning through the dark cracks of life.”
