American Tin Pan Alley songwriter, composer and music publisher from New York City. With partner Sam Coslow, he founded the Spier and Coslow Music Company, which they later sold to Paramount in 1929. In 1932 Spier became general manager of Chappell Music. He formed is own company, Larry Spier Music, which developed into the Memory Lane Music Group.
