Lasse Berghagen was widely regarded as one of Sweden's most beloved artists of all time, not least through his time as host of 'Allsång på Skansen', 1994–2003, a Swedish sing-a-long show held at Skansen, Stockholm, every summer on Tuesdays between 8pm and 9pm.
In September 2023, Lasse Berghagen underwent heart valve surgery from which his body never recovered and he died in hospital.
He was marrierd to Lill-Babs from 1965 - 1968.
