Lasse Summanen

Swedish guitarist and film editor, born July 13, 1951 in Finland.

He has worked as a film editor with his company for SVT's documentary department, but has also worked for many other companies. Lasse Summanen is also a screenwriter and has written the script together with, among others, Sven Nykvist. Summanen has been playing guitar since the 1960s in the early 1970s together with the psychedelic duo Charlie & Esdor, Scorpion, later with Grizzly and then in the band BC & Heartkeys, which includes Janne "Loffe" Carlsson and Bill Öhrström. He has also been a sound engineer and made sounds for many films.

Summanen is educated in film sound at the Dramatic Institute 1974–1976.
