American vocalist and bandleader active during the swing era. He was also an actor and television presenter.
Born December 25, 1912 in Pasadena, California Died March 6, 1994 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
In 1933 he went to work for the George Hamilton Orchestra at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. He was a featured vocalist with the Orville Knapp band. The band was rising fast when on July 16, 1936 Knapp died in a plane crash. Noble fronted the band for awhile but soon formed his own band, aided by Knapp's pianist-arranger Chick Floyd. and vocalist Edith Caldwell. The band's theme song was "I'll See You in My Dreams". Between 1961 and 1969, Noble fronted the house band at Harrah's Club, Lake Tahoe.
