Brazilian singer. She sang in French and English.

Born in Santos on September 1 of 1920 as Hilda Campos Soares de Silva, she began her career at the age of 12, in the program Hora Infantil, from Rádio Clube de Santos (SP).
Her forte was singing foxtrots (including jazz tunes), which earned her the nickname of Hildinha, the Fox Princess.
In 1935, she moved to Atlantic Radio, also in Santos, when she adopted the stage name (suggested by producer Carlos Baccarat) of Leny Eversong.

In 1936, she went to Rio de Janeiro, spending three months at Radio Tupi and also performed at Copacabana Palace Hotel and Cassino da Urca.
Although she didn't speak English, she memorized the lyrics of many English songs with perfect pronunciation.

In 1942, Leny made her first recordings for Columbia & Continental (which included songs from Carmen Miranda and Alice Faye's repertoire in the movie Week-End in Havana), where she was backed by the band of conductor Totó (Anthony Sergi).

She also recorded in the USA with Neal Hefti's orchestra and France, with Pierre Dorsey's orchestra, where she sang in several languages (including English, French & Portuguese), in addition to singing in several casinos of Las Vegas during the 60s.
In the early 1970s, her husband literally went shopping for cigarettes and never returned. It shook her deeply. Her health gradually weakened.

On April 29 of 1984, Leny Eversong died in São Paulo of diabetes.
