Les Baroques is a beat band from Baarn, Utrecht, Netherlands, that was formed in 1959 under the name Modern Teenage Quartet. Later the band changed its name to Hurricane Combo and in 1965 to Les Baroques. In 1969, the band finally changed its name to [a=Island (42)].

Members : Frank Muyser (guitar, mouth organ, saxophone), Gerard Schoenaker (vocals), Hans van Emden (guitar), Raymond van Geytenbeek (vocals, drums), René Krijnen (keyboards), Robin Muyser (bass), Bart Terlaak (drums), Ferdi Karmelk (guitar, vocals), Jan Dankmeijer (bass), Michel van Dijk (vocals)
