Lole Y Manuel

Spanish husband and wife flamenco duo.

Manuel Molina (1948-2015), Born in Ceuta, son of flamenco guitarist Manuel Acosta Molina "El Encajero", joined prog-flamenco musicians in 1967 to create Smash.

Some years later he and his wife Dolores Montoya (born in Seville, 1954 in a renowned flamenco-playing family) began a flamenco-rock band project with friend "Tele" Palacios. They finally quit the idea, when Tele joined Jesús de la Rosa and later formed Triana.

Just as a duo, "Lole Y Manuel" would record their first album in 1975. They are the parents of female singer Alba Molina.
