Lolly-Pop Jones

American vaudeville entertainer, comedian, tap dancer, and singer.
Born November 8, 1897 Madison, Georgia Died August 22, 1954 New Orleans, Louisana (56 years old). He was married to blues singer Alma Mondy.
He performed for African-American audiences on stage and film in the 1940s including the all-black horror movie Midnight Menace (1946), in which he sang "Honeysuckle Rose" and "Don't Sell My Monkey Baby" (with Alma playing piano on both and singing duet on the latter).
Lollypop’s three films were all made with the All American News Company in Chicago in 1946: Chicago After Dark, Lucky Gamblers, and Midnight Menace.
