Died: 30th June 2023
Internationally known for his song "King and Queen" aka "Kingston Town" covered by UB40. Settled in Jamaica in 1962, the year of Jamaican independence. His calypso, Independent Jamaica, was commissioned by Vincent "Randy" Chin to celebrate Jamaica's independence and was licenced by Chris Blackwell to become Island Records first release.
Received Jamaica’s Order Of Distinction in 2022.
