About

First they were Los Angeles Azules (The Blue Angels) (1963-1966), and then 'Los Ángeles', four singers and musicians that achieved to be in the bestseller lists for many years. Los Angeles, which some music critics such as Juan De Pablos, think to be "the best pop Spanish vocal group", stablished as a quartet with Agustín Rodríguez (guitar, vocals), Carlos Álvarez (guitar), Paco Quero (bass) and Poncho González (drums). Songs such as "Mañana, Mañana", or "Mónica" put them among the first Spanish pop groups. Pepe Robles spent several months with them in 1968 before founding Modulos. José Luis Avellaneda replaced Agustin Rodriguez in 1972. A traffic accident in September 1976 killed Poncho Gonzalez and José Luis Avellaneda, and there ended the adventure. However, in 1992 guitarists Agustín Rodriguez and Carlos Alvarez decided to resurrect the band. In 1995 Popi González, son of Poncho, joins them on drums.
