    American singer. Member of the Dinning Sisters.

    Born September 29, 1920 in Franklin, Simpson County, Kentucky.
    Died April 28, 2000 in Robertson, Tennessee.

    Lou was a member of the Dinning Sisters trio that was popular in the 1940s, performing on NBC and appearing with Ozzie Nelson in the 1942 movie "Strictly in the Grove". Shortly afterwards, Lou Dinning left the trio. She also recorded several songs with her husband, singer and songwriter Don Robertson, whom she had married in July 1942, including "The Happy Whistler" and "You're Free To Go".
