Lou "Louis" MacConnell was a jazz saxophonist and flutist. In 1951, he went back to the U.S. with his parents, and played in Los Angeles, California, U.S., for a while (with among others, Hampton Hawes, Frank Rosolino, Walter Bishop).
In 1976, Lou MacConnell went back to Liège, Belgium, where he played with, among others, Art Taylor and Ron Wilson. In 1979, he toured Germany with Chet Baker alongside german vibraphonist Wolfgang Lackerschmid and belgian bassist Jean-Louis Rassinfosse.
