About

Loudblast is a French metal band from Villeneuve-d’Ascq (North).
They formed in 1985 as a thrash metal band (demos era), then they evolved towards death metal on the first albums, and then melodic death metal on the later ones.
The band split up in 1999 due to internal tensions. They reformed in November 2000 for a one-shot gig in support of Chuck Schuldiner. They eventually reactivated in 2002.
