Born to a mother Senane and father Picard , Louis Capart spent his childhood and adolescence in Saint-Denis with frequent and regular returns to the island of Sein . By listening, at 16, Léo Ferré , it became a trigger for the song and singing. In 1984 he left the public service and launches into the song.
