He started as the leader of The Grodes in 1964 in Tucson, Arizona, U.S. and in the 70's he formed pop - disco duo Fire & Rain along with his then wife Patti McCarron. In the 80's he adopted the pseudonym Ian Messenger for a brief mid 80's career as recording artist. Since 2004, he several albums and singles as Manny Freiser or Freiser.
