About

Mantits was a solo accoustic music project of Jeremiah Morelock that started after his previous band, The McVeighs, broke up for the second and final time. The 'tits, as he was often refered to, existed for about 6 years from the summer of 1999 untill February 2006 when they announced the end of the project citing that the joke-band nature of the name didn't do their message justice, years of the same music style was becoming tedious, the identity felt like a cage and that playing punk shows became demoralising.

Although almost always just Jeremiah with his accoustic, on rare occassion early in the project's life he would be joined for live performances by Lammy, a precursor to Jerk Off Jack Off Frig Face. This would be dubbed 'Electric Mantits' and give rise to idea of being a punk band, eventually spawning Vomit Dichotomy.

The last album, "Quit While You're Ahead", would be released after the project ended as the songs were already finished before becoming sick of the situation. A split 7" record including Mantits was also planned for release through DIY Bandits at this time but went unreleased.
