Marcus Idoffson, the son of Berth Idoff, bought back Berth Idoffs' band name to the family, a band and band name which his father Berth Idoff had started in 1955 and left and sold, with all equipment, to the remaining band members in 1974, and thereafter Marcus stepped in as new band leader of Berth Idoffs, when Conny Nilsson was a leaving member of the band, in 2000.

Marcus' then girl friend, Lotta Dahlström, replaced Conny Nilsson as the lead singer of the band in 2000. The couple got married in 2004, and Lotta or Charlotte Idoffson now, gave birth to their son Charlie Idoff in 2005.

Life would take another turn in 2009 for Marcus, when he was diagnosed with oligodendrogliomas in the frontal lobe of the brain. In 2018, this tumour would eventually take his life about two days before his father Berth Idoff, also diagnosed with a cancer disease, died at the same hospice in Kristianstad, Skåne.
