Swedish professor of painting, principal, theatre director and film director, born on November 5, 1944 in Adolf Fredrik, Stockholm, Uppland.
Marie-Louise Ekman was professor of painting at the [url=https://kkh.se/en]Royal Institute of Art[/url] in Stockholm from 1984 to 1991, principal of the [url=https://kkh.se/en]Royal Institute of Art[/url] from 1999 to 2008, and CEO and theatre director of Kungliga Dramatiska Teatern from 2009 to 2014. Ekman's work is represented at Göteborgs Konstmuseum, Norrköpings Konstmuseum and [url=https://www.kalmarkonstmuseum.se/en]Kalmar Art Museum[/url], among others.
Marie-Louise De Geer was married to Carl-Johan De Geer, from 1966 until their divorce in 1971, and from 1971 to 1980, as Marie-Louise Bergenstråhle, to film director Johan Bergenstråhle. Her third marriage was to Gösta Ekman, from 1989 until his death in April 2017.
