British classical bassoonist and Professor of Bassoon. Born in 1936 or 1937 in Aberdeen, Scotland, UK.
He studied at the Royal College of Music, London. He has served as principal bassoonist for London Philharmonic Orchestra (1958-1966), English Chamber Orchestra (1966-1976), and the London Symphony Orchestra (1977-1998). He also was the bassoonist in The Barry Tuckwell Wind Quintet from 1967 to 1991.
He taught at The Guildhall School Of Music & Drama (1967-1984). Professor of Bassoon at the Royal College of Music.
