Swedish jazz guitarist who plays and composes music in the jazz, blues and pop genres, born 31 August 1960 in Stockholm.
He started playing guitar at the age of 10 after seeing a concert with Jimi Hendrix in Stockholm and toured in 1979 with the band Rena vätskor in Stockholm who also participated in a film by SVT. After that, Max Schultz became involved in the group Mynta, where he developed as a jazz guitarist for seven years and also came into contact with Indian musical influences. Mynta toured both in Scandinavia and in international arenas such as the Montreaux Jazz Festival as well as in Singapore, Bombay, Cuba and Nicaragua. Max Schultz has also toured with Beches Brew in India in 2015 under the direction of world musician and composer Bengt Berger.
