Dutch singer, drummer and percussionist, born 29 December 1953 in Hilversum, The Netherlands. Started his career in 1972 as lead singer of Dutch band Kayak. Changed to drums in 1978, until Kayak broke up in 1982. In the meantime, he also had his first success as a solo artist. When Kayak reunited in 1999, he was lead vocalist again on one album, but then left the band. Passed away on 9 april 2024, at the age of 70.
