Michael Knowles is an English actor and scriptwriter. He is best known for his roles in BBC sitcoms written by David Croft and Jimmy Perry including Dad's Army, It Ain't Half Hot, Mum and You Rang, M'Lord?. With Harold Snoad, he adapted 67 episodes of Dad's Army for the radio as well as its sequel It Sticks Out Half a Mile. He also wrote four episodes of Are You Being Served? as well as guest starring in two episodes.
