Harold Snoad was a British television producer, director, and writer. His production and direction credits include Dad's Army, Keeping Up Appearances, Are You Being Served?, Ever Decreasing Circles, The Dick Emery Show and Brush Strokes. With Michael Knowles, he adapted 67 episodes of Dad's Army for the radio as well as writing the sequel It Sticks Out Half a Mile.

Born: 28th August 1935 in Hendon, Middlesex, England. Died 2 June 2024.

Also known as Alan Sherwood when working for ITV on High & Dry, which was the TV version of It Sticks Out Half A Mile.
