Middian

About

Middian was a doom metal band from Eugene, Oregon. The group was formed by vocalist/guitarist Mike Scheidt in 2006 following the break-up of his previous band, Yob. The band was rounded out by bassist Will Lindsay and drummer Scott Headrick. Signed to Metal Blade Records, the group released the album "Age Eternal" in 2007. Following the release of the album, Middian entered into a lawsuit with Wisconsin-based band named Midian, who wanted to prevent Scheidt's group from using the Middian name. As of a result of the lawsuit, Metal Blade dropped the band. Middian briefly changed their name to Age Eternal before disbanding altogether in 2008. In the wake of the break-up, Scheidt resurrected Yob and Lindsay joined both Wolves In The Throne Room and Indian.
