Mike McClure has been performing live electronic music since the earliest days of the Minneapolis rave scene. Coming up alongside acts like Freddy Fresh, Woody McBride, and DVS1, his approach to electronic music is unmistakably informed by his long involvement in Minneapolis techno culture. Earlier in his career, Autokinetic produced hard, 909-driven acid and now focuses on deeper, more spacious techno grooves. His full-hardware live performances have an unmistakable after-hours feel that is true to his roots.

Autokinetic's recorded material is often captured in one take, keeping the real-time and human aspects of the music intact. McClure also performs as AutoClub with Craig Lambert (Midnight Music Club). You can find his music on Electric Music Foundation, Trope Recordings, and Music Man, as well as an imprint co-managed with Freddy Fresh, Analog Records.
