    Jazz singer and pianist who grew up in Houston, Texas, US. She collaborated with famous bandleaders like Duke Ellington and Count Basie and sang with B.B. King in the 1950s. In 1979 she featured on King's tour to Japan, Arabia and Russia. She has performed also in piano bars in central Europe and Scandinavia.
