    Ming Luhulima

Netherlands based recording artist originally from the Maluku Islands, also known as Lou Lima. A singer, guitarist and ukelele player, he played a major part in promoting Kroncong music in the Netherlands.

He was a member of both Mena Moeria Minstrels and Amboina Serenaders. In 1957 there was a disagreement within the group which caused Rudi Wairata to leave. As a result Luhulima became leader of both ensembles. From the late 1950s to the early 1960s, he had some solo singles released on the CID (2) label as Lou LIma. One of the singles was "Eiland In De Zon" aka "Island in the Sun" which was a huge hit for Harry Belafonte.
In 1968 the Pantja Warna aka Krontjong Ensemble "Pantja Warna" o.l.v Ming Luhulima released an album on the Dureco label.
