About

Rapper and DJ from El Prat de Llobregat (Barcelona), Spain.

On their first two cassette demos, 7 Notas 7 Colores did not actually excel musically speaking because the recordings were rather lo-fi and the tracks a bit too conventional or not so innovative for today's standards; although Floriver's snotty rhymes already were highly philosophical and he sometimes dropped his verses at an amazing speed and with a notable clarity, together with a somewhat spiteful tone in his voice.

At the beginning of Mucho Muchacho's more serious career as a rapper –after he adopted his new alias and joined forces with the great Dive Dibosso– he mostly wrote truly angry and often mean lyrics, which usually dealt with money or lack of it, women, drug dealing and drug taking, fights, cops, and many more themes; usually with an aggressive, pimping, arrogant approach surrounded by a darkly poetic charm and his exaggerated ego. This was obvious in 7 Notas 7 Colores' groundbreaking first album, "Hecho, Es Simple", which was later reissued even in the US. This album is said to have been the best-selling Spanish rap release ever, although Mucho has often complained that the band itself never received any royalties whatsoever.

On several interviews he has confessed to be a diehard fan of Nas' Illmatic or Wu-Tang Clan's Enter The Wu-Tang, although throughout the years he has managed to create and craft a superb rhyming style and a cooler, calmer, maturer flow with incredibly catchy verses or just phrases like "Cabrones Con Más", "Tráelo Aquí", "Con Las Manos En El Aire" or "Qué Está Pasando", which have become trademarks in his style and which he sometimes repeats in different tracks, in different releases or live. Some may consider this as a lack of originality or creativity, although this is actually one of the things that make Mucho Muchacho be what he is as Master of Ceremonies.

No one can deny his importance –or, as many would dare saying, "supremacy"– within the Spanish speaking Hip-hop/rap scene.
