American punk rock band formed in Longview, Washington that later relocated to Portland, Oregon. Originally called the Untouchables, Napalm Beach was formed by Chris Newman in 1980. Drummer Sam Henry joined in 1981, and bassist Dave Dillinger in 1989. Napalm Beach headlined shows and opened for national acts in Portland and Seattle all through the 1980s and into the 1990s. They toured Europe several times between 1989 and 1992. Napalm Beach stayed together until 1995. They recorded their final studio album "In My Tree" in 1994. Napalm Beach regathered for a few spotlight gigs in the years after 1995. But on July 11, 2013, as he celebrated his 60th birthday, Newman declared the band officially defunct. They recorded and released around a dozen albums on small labels. Some Napalm Beach albums are available on Bandcamp.
