    Nat Reese

    Born Salem, Virginia 1924, died 2012 in Princeton, West Virginia. Blues singer/guitarist. Family moved to West Virginia in 1935. Reese was leader of Starlight Gospel Singers, based in Itmann. After his time with them was over, Reese frequently collaborated with fiddler Howard Armstrong. Also an acclaimed painter winning the Vandalia Award in 1995 and the John Henry Award in 1988. Inducted 2009 into West Virginia Music Hall of Fame.
