About

Also credited as Maestro Tejada. "Maestro" is a honor prefix, means "master".
Spanish conductor and arranger (Madrid, 1898-1971). Usually credited as conductor of [a3033563].

He worked for Fábrica De Discos Columbia S.A. (San Sebastián) recording company, of which he was later artistic director. He took care of the zarzuela recordings during a lapse of time in which Ataúlfo Argenta seems to have been retired due to health problems during a few months in 1957. It was a link between the records of Argenta and those conducted by Indalecio Cisneros and Benito Lauret. He also had a small orchestra with which he performed in nightclubs and fashion venues in Madrid in those years.
