About

Nicky started her career as a PR for The Fridge Club in Brixton, where she helped introduce nights with The Boilerhouse, Soul II Soul and Planet House with Mark Moore and Ian B, and Live guests, Fingers Inc.

In the summer of 1988 she launched one of the first Sunday house clubs in London, Confusion, with her then partner, Martin Confusion and these legendary Bill Stickers sessions were fuelled by the sounds of resident DJ Kid Batchelor (Bang The Party) and MC E-Mix with an incredible line up of guests that included Hippie Torrales, Mr C and Robert Owens. Around this time she also moved into label management and PR for the fledgling UK house label, Warriors Dance, which is now considered a seminal label in dance music circles for releases such as No Smoke’s ‘Koro Koro’, Bang The Party’s ‘Release Your Body’ and ‘Bang Bang Your Mine’ and The Addis Posse’s ‘Let The Warriors Dance’.

Nicky has previously written the Night clubbing section for Blues & Soul Magazine , Co-created DJ promo & PR company Phuture Trax and is currently working with numerous labels and clubs including The Egg, London.
