    Nikolai Azarov (born March 6, 1963 in the city of Ushtobe, Taldy-Kurgan region, Kazakh SSR) is a Russian choral conductor.

    In 1972 he was admitted to the Moscow State Choir School, from which he graduated with honors. Then he entered the Moscow Conservatory to the department of choral conducting in the class of Professor Клавдий Птица = Klavdy Ptitsa, and since 1982 he continued his studies in the class of Professor Victor Popov. Having graduated from the conservatory with honors, N.N. Azarov was sent to active military service in The Alexandrov Red Army Ensemble as a choirmaster and choir artist.
    In 2010, he was approved as rector of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education “Academy Of Choral Art".
    In 2014, he was appointed to the position of chief choirmaster, and then artistic director and chief conductor of State Academic Moscow Regional Choir named after A.D. Kozhevnikova = Московский Хор.
    Since November 2014 - artistic director and chief conductor of Academic Choir of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
