Hailing from New York City, Singer-Songwriter N.K. Morton is no stranger to the music industry. Formerly Known as "Nneka", N.K. has penned songs for the Backstreet Boys, Mya, Karen Clark-Sheard and Faith Evans. As a singer, N.K.'s voice can be heard on projects by Chris Rock, Rakim, Diana Ross, The Isley Brothers and many others . It is this experience that has prepared N.K. Morton for her solo turn. Driven by her love for all music, N.K.'s sound will take you on an eclectic journey. When asked what inspires her artistry, she replied, "Seeing happy faces and bodies in motion, while a great song is playing, inspires me. When a song moves me to tears and reflection or provides solace, it reinforces my belief that music plays an integral role in our lives. We've all experienced moments where a song has transported us back in time. That song is a part of your life's soundtrack. Whether you danced or cried you felt the impact and it's in those moments we find inspiration." When asked what she hopes to contribute to the musical conversation, N.K. Morton replied, "I enjoy music in all its forms, but I long for music that speaks to my joys, sorrows, frustrations and gives voice to my desires, so I hope to spark a conversation that helps us reconnect to the depth, passion and vulnerability of the human experience." N.K. Morton has something to say, and she wants you to feel it.
