Noémi started in 2001 as Vocal Trance project by Double A Music production team, performed by Stefania. The project was initially named Planet Violet.
The producers also released Remixes under the name Noémi without the involvement of Stefania.
In 2003, further Singles and a planned album were cancelled, as the record company Jive/Zomba Records closed their Dance division.
Since 2010, Stefania uses the name for her solo releases and stage appearances.
